Michigan Ski ResortsThis is a featured page

The state of Michigan is home to more than 40 downhill ski resorts. In the Lower Peninsula, there are eight major ski resorts and in the Upper Peninisula, there are six major ski resorts. Boyne Highlands, Caberfae Peaks, Crystal Mountain, The Homestead, Ostego Club, Shanty Creek, and Treetops Resort are some of the major ski resorts in the lower part of the state.
The Michigan Snowsports Industries Association (MSIA) is responsible for helping 120,000 people learn to snowboard or ski in Michigan since its formation in 1991. One interesting role of the MSIA is helping 4th grade students ski for free. Students are allowed up to three passes a year at 19 participating ski resorts throughout the state.
